Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Custodian to join our team at the USGS PT facility. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional cleaning services to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas of the facility, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning equipment.
  • Perform cleaning duties such as spot cleaning walls and windows, and using the high-speed buffer to burnish hard floor surfaces.
  • Clean and maintain assigned equipment, including trash containers and ashtrays.
Requirements
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to decipher/comprehend signs indicating danger.
  • Skilled in the knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance to work at assigned work site.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous custodial experience.
  • Graduate of GGWs NISH custodial training program.
