LPN Medical Surgical Oncology Unit Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical Surgical Oncology Unit at LewisGale Medical Center. As a valued member of our team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities- Deliver direct, evidence-based care to patients, as directed by the physician or RN, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed, to support the care team and enhance patient care.
- Perform lab and procedural tests within the LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency, to provide accurate and timely results.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner, to ensure accurate and complete patient information.
- Serve as a resource to department staff, students, and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) licensure in the state of Virginia.
- Vocational School Graduate.
