About the Role:

Wanzek Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to lead large EPC bids and complex construction projects. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead large EPC bids and complex construction projects from receipt of bid package through final bid review
  • Develop complete understanding of project requirements and ensure accurate and timely preparation of estimates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and develop strategies to minimize indirects and construction equipment
  • Supervise and line out bid team members, provide adequate information, and establish bidding schedules with deadlines
  • Review and understand owner-provided specifications and documentation, and ensure needed costs are incorporated into estimates
  • Perform final reviews at least two days before bid due date, and critically analyze each aspect of the estimate to ensure a competitive bid

Requirements:

  • High school diploma plus related training or education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of construction estimating experience
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management
  • Experience in contract negotiations, working with various vendors and clients, and leading bids on a regular basis
