Job Title: Nurse Anesthetist

Northwell Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Anesthetist to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and providing critical care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in collaboration with anesthesiologists
  • Perform pre-anesthesia patient interviews and assessments
  • Assemble and check anesthesia supplies and equipment
  • Stock medication carts and anesthesia machines
  • Assist in expediting operating room schedules
  • Maintain adequate anesthesia supplies and equipment
  • Start IV lines and set up IV fluids for patients
Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA)
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
  • Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
  • ACLS certification
