Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter Apprentice to join our team at D&W Fresh Market. As a Meat Cutter Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced butchers in cutting and preparing meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in cutting and weighing steaks, chops, and other meat products for individual servings
  • Help to cut, trim, and bone carcass sections or prime cuts to reduce to cooking cuts
  • Support the production of value-added products, such as ground meats and sausage, by following established recipes and guidelines
  • Price, date, wrap, and/or bag meat products using department scales and following established guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with the butchery team to ensure high-quality products are prepared and presented to our customers
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a butchery or meat cutting environment is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established recipes and guidelines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
