CAD Drafter Technician

We are seeking a talented CAD Drafter Technician to support our rural fiber projects. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine interest in performing computer-aided drafting and have a basic knowledge of AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting personnel with making copies, outside printing, and preparing shipments.
  • Making minor corrections to Unit Tabulations, Staking Sheets, Cable Schematics, and Detail Maps.
  • Cleaning up land bases to be used for maps.
  • Interpreting and drawing Staking Sheets, Cable Schematics, and Detail Maps utilizing company standards from hand-marked maps.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is desirable but not required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products is required.
  • Willingness to learn the basics of telecommunications systems.
  • Experience with other GIS products, such as ESRI and MicroStation, is desirable but not required.
  • Must be able to work at a computer station all day, clearly view the monitor, and use fine hand manipulation of a mouse to draw various engineering drawings.
  • Proficient computer skills are required.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
