CNC Lathe Programming and Operations Specialist

Innovative and dynamic CNC Lathe Programmer Operator needed at Yates Industries Inc. in Austell, GA.
Job Summary:
This role involves operating and programming CNC lathes to produce high-quality machined parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC programming and operation, as well as experience with Mazak Mazatrol and Fanuc controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to produce quality machined parts.
- Write, store, and retrieve programs for machining parts.
- Prioritize work orders for timely completion to meet customer needs.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating CNC machine. Mill experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of G code and CNC programming.
- Experience with Mazak Mazatrol, Mazak Fusion, and Fanuc controls.
- Knowledge of creating and writing programs and troubleshooting machine errors.
- Familiarity with inspection equipment such as micrometers, depth mic's, O.D. mic's, thread gauges, and calipers.
- Ability to read blueprints and analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, and/or specifications to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
