Role Overview
Road2Home, a nonprofit organization serving community members experiencing homelessness in Whatcom County, seeks a dedicated individual to join its Board of Directors. As a key member of the Board, you will provide strategic guidance and support to the organization's leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop organizational policies and oversee the budget.
- Participate in bi-monthly board meetings and contribute to discussions on strategic planning and major organizational decisions.
- Lead and serve on board committees and/or organizational committees as needed.
- Stay informed about organizational activities and communicate with the Board as necessary.
- Support fundraising efforts by volunteering for events, attending events, and promoting the organization's mission.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of nonprofit governance and a passion for supporting organizations that address homelessness. Your ability to work collaboratively with the Executive Director and other Board members will be essential in driving the organization's mission forward.
