Job Summary:

CBIZ is seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Manager to join our team in New England. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for providing co-sourcing/outsourcing services for Credit-Focused Alternative Asset Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of an In-House tax function, including transactional matters, managing multiple internal and external professional resources, and federal, state, and foreign compliance.
  • Manage staff on assigned deliverables to achieve the completion of all aspects of the engagement and complete reviews as a member of the final review team to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Understand the client's compliance and consulting needs and recognize opportunities for the client and CBIZ.
  • Share knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts, and proactively communicate solution options to management and the team.
  • Assist with client communication during engagements and supervise, train, and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Participate in new client development in partnership with senior management and contribute to client meetings, presentation, and proposal development.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience working with GAAP, 5 years of experience auditing financial statements, and 5 years of experience performing public accounting.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience and 3 years of managing other accountants.
  • Active CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements, manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments, and prioritize each assignment as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
  • Ability to travel based on business needs.
