Battelle Health is seeking a seasoned Veterinary Professional Leader to join our team. As an expert in veterinary care and research, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care and evaluations associated with sponsored preclinical study execution and research objectives.

This critical role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate veterinary care and procedures while championing regulatory compliance against evolving requirements.
  • Manage required regulatory reporting; prepare documents for submission to regulatory authorities.
  • Provide consultation and training to personnel on best practices in animal care and use in research to promote and enhance animal welfare.
  • Serve as a leader in the organization, driving positive collaboration across functional groups.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
  • ACLAM Board Certified status
  • Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in at least one U.S. state
  • Five years of laboratory animal experience in an academic or industry setting serving as Attending Veterinarian
  • USDA accreditation or application submitted within 1 month of hire
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Laboratory experience working with in vivo models
