Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team at Stepan Company.

As an Environmental Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the site's compliance with State and Federal air regulations. This includes overseeing, managing, and maintaining the site's Title V air permit, as well as interpreting applicable regulations, conducting basic computer modeling of air emissions, and designing, operating, and troubleshooting pollution control equipment, instrumentation, and data collection infrastructure.

You will serve as the technical expert on all matters relating to the site's air emissions, pollution control infrastructure, and associated regulatory compliance. Your strong technical ability, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities will be essential in this role.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical expert on all matters relating to the site's air emissions, pollution control infrastructure, and associated regulatory compliance.
  • Develop, manage, and submit permit renewals, construction permits, permit modifications, stack testing protocols, LDAR monitoring programs, reporting, and other permitting activities as necessary.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience performing a similar or related role within a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of US regulations pertaining to air compliance.
  • Knowledge of EPA Methods 21 LDAR monitoring for leak equipment.
