Role Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will apply your mechanical engineering design knowledge and ability to create final construction drawings for the owner and support the owner throughout the entire construction process. You will also serve as a mentor to less experienced mechanical engineers and CAD drafters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and timely produce mechanical design elements consistent with project specifications
  • Accurately and timely produce design elements in accordance with the project hours, scope, and parameters
  • Produce engineering construction documents appropriate for permitting based on project specifics
  • Actively participate in post-design activities through punch lists to construction completion
  • Ensure quality of mechanical design is consistent with established quality standards
  • Provide complete management of project timelines and related design activity communication between the design team and the client/customer, accurately and timely
  • Provide timely consultation on projects to manage schedules, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, building codes, and standards consistent with company quality standards
  • Produce accurate and complete engineering project specifications within project parameters
  • Provide timely billing of projects to the accounting department
  • Follow established work rules, policies, and procedures
  • Actively engage with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies, and reduce costs
  • Assist in the preparation of other documents germane to a project with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Cooperatively take on other duties, roles, or responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4-year degree in engineering is required
  • Expert knowledge of building codes and standards
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering standards and other trades
  • Demonstrable understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings
  • Demonstrate superior expertise in a specific sector
  • Knowledge of AutoCad and/or Revit
  • Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • EIT and/or PE preferred
Travel Requirements
  • Travel is anticipated between 0-10%
Estimated Starting Salary Range

$90,000.00 to $130,000.00
