Key Responsibilities:
The Charge Nurse plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the unit during designated shifts. Responsibilities include:
- Directing and coordinating unit functions
- Collaborating with management to assess and enhance the quality of patient care
- Supervising nursing staff and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for patients and families
- Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and educational programs
- Providing direct patient care as necessary
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
- Certification in CPR and ACLS (to be obtained within six months of hire)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
- Two to five years of clinical experience, ideally in a similar setting
- Experience in patient care management and charge nurse roles is advantageous
