Join Our Team as a Banquet Captain

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Ameristar. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquets and events, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of banquet staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and review banquet event orders to ensure accurate menu preparation and service.
  • Lead and train banquet staff to provide exceptional customer service and ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Ensure the banquet room and equipment are clean and fully equipped for events.
  • Prepare and submit banquet checks and bills in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supervise and train banquet staff in the absence of the banquet manager and coordinator.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of banquet service experience preferred.
  • Previous food and beverage experience required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English grammar and proper word usage.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with independence and as part of a team.
