We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dairy Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a Dairy Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our dairy and frozen food cases, as well as providing excellent customer service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of dairy and frozen food cases, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning shelves and products, and removing hazardous debris.
- Stock dairy cases, including facing, filling, and organizing products, as well as ensuring tag and pricing accuracy.
- Examine the rotation of dairy products, discarding outdated or spoiled items, and ensuring that products are stored at the correct temperature.
- Respond positively to customer inquiries, assist customers with purchases, and promote products to increase sales.
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
- Monitor point of purchase signs, ensuring that recipe cards, product coupons, and promotional materials are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Operate equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products.
- Sustain a high level of product knowledge and product preparation.
- Walk the department regularly to ensure an organized, sanitary, and overall clean appearance.
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
- Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
- Be able to perform repetitious activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
- Be able to lift and move boxes/crates weighing between 40-60 lbs., for a distance of up to 10 feet, for up to 6-50 hours without mechanical assistance.
- Be able to walk up to 5 miles in an 8-hour shift.
- Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
