Job Summary:
The Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our Diagnostic Clinic team. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of mental health assessment services provided to youth and families involved in the court system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct court-ordered forensic assessments to address psycho-legal issues and communicate findings to judges, magistrates, and other stakeholders.
- Produce thorough, well-considered, and data-driven work products that are responsive to jurists' referral questions.
- Provide expert witness testimony in court trials and present mental health-related information to court departments and external agencies.
- Consult on forensic evaluations completed by other staff members and mentor and teach local university placement students and other learners on rotation in the Diagnostic Clinic.
Requirements:
- Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology required.
- Five (5) years of post-doctoral experience working in the mental health field.
- Must be proficient in psychological testing, including instrument selection, standardized administration, scoring, and interpretation.
- Valid Ohio Psychology license or licensure within 6 months of hire.
Working Conditions:
The Forensic Psychologist will work in a general office setting with moderate noise levels and may work partially remote from home or a private office.
