Paraprofessional Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Based Paraprofessional to support students' educational and developmental needs in a dynamic school setting.

• Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities and lessons, ensuring a positive and effective learning environment.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs or learning difficulties, promoting academic and social growth.
• Monitor and support students in various school settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and lunchrooms, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
• Help with classroom management and organization, ensuring a smooth and efficient learning experience.
• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and resources, supporting teachers in their instructional planning.
• Support students in developing social skills and positive behaviors, fostering a growth mindset and a love for learning.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry trends.

• High school diploma or equivalent, with an associate's degree or higher in education or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children.

• Paraprofessional II Certificate from the New Hampshire Department of Education, or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid Certification, preferred but can be obtained after hiring.

• Full-time position during the school year, with hours varying based on school schedules and needs.
• Work primarily in a school setting, with occasional outdoor supervision.
