The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager in Test to lead our team of software engineers in test. As a key member of our Computational Science & Informatics division, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated testing of Roche Digital Pathology algorithms.

You will work closely with imaging scientists and subject matter experts to understand the algorithms and perform necessary data analysis for confirming technical performance specifications and scientific accuracy. Additionally, you will develop reusable and scalable data analysis tools libraries used for component as well as end-to-end verification.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of automated testing of Roche Digital Pathology algorithms
  • Manage a team of high-performing software development engineers in test
  • Collaborate with multi-functional leads to align on work scope and release timelines
  • Develop reusable and scalable data analysis tools libraries used for component as well as end-to-end verification
  • Participate in requirements, architecture, and design specification reviews
  • Assist in driving dry run and formal verification testing
  • Follow defined software development lifecycle procedures and standard processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Biomedical engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team of software engineers in test
  • 3+ years of experience in algorithm test engineering and complex data interpretation & analysis
  • 4+ years of professional experience with Python or equivalent scripting language
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development in test, test automation frameworks, CI/CD tools, cloud and container management technologies
  • Experience in Agile software development process and software engineering best practices
  • Experience in recruiting, building & coaching high-performing engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience analyzing histopathology images
  • Experience in Performance testing
  • Experience in medical device software or regulated software verification
