Responsibilities

  • Shampoo and spot clean all hotel carpeted areas, including public areas, guest rooms, and hallways.
  • Operate and maintain carpet cleaning machinery and supplies, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Shampoo lobby and public area carpets, as well as elevator carpets, to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Shampoo guestroom and hallway carpets, paying close attention to detail to ensure a high level of cleanliness and quality.
  • Report any damages to carpeted areas to the maintenance team, ensuring prompt attention and repair.
  • Responsible for the rotation of oriental rugs, ensuring they are properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Properly document scheduled cleaning cycles, ensuring accurate records and efficient maintenance.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping floor care experience preferred, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication, time management, follow-through, and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and respond to hazardous situations, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, as well as frequent bending, reaching overhead, and squatting, is required.
  • Lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance and a minimum of 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Push/pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of our guests and hotel operations.
