Role:

The Fixed Income Client Portfolio Manager will be the champion of Amundi US's fixed income investment capabilities, both internally and externally. This role requires a deep understanding of the fixed income market, as well as excellent relationship-building skills to establish credibility and trust with the fixed income investment and sales teams.

The successful candidate will collaborate with marketing and distribution to increase the sales productivity on Amundi US fixed income investment capabilities. They will also ensure that messaging in commentaries, RFPs, factsheets, presentations, and white papers is clear, compelling, consistent, and aligned with the approach and views of the fixed income portfolio management team.

This role is hybrid (3 days per week in office) from Boston, MA or Durham, NC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educate institutional and retail clients on our economic and investment outlook, including sector-specific information when needed.
  • Partner with the investment and sales teams to increase net sales.
  • Persuasively present Amundi US's fixed income views and capabilities to clients, consultants, and prospects.
  • Conduct update calls and meetings with clients that include a market outlook, and performance and positioning update.
  • Respond quickly and knowledgeably to fixed income-related questions internally and externally.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape, identify differentiating features of the Amundi US approach, and embed those differences in written materials.
  • Work with portfolio managers to customize fixed income solutions as needed for separate accounts, and to launch additional fixed income strategies.
  • Contribute to the success of the entire CPM team as a whole by sharing best practices, and opportunities to launch new strategies based on interactions with sales team, clients, and prospects.
Requirements:
  • Series 7 and 63 required within 3 months of joining.
  • Prefer at least 8+ years of experience in a client portfolio management role or other investment-related role such as a portfolio manager, credit analyst, or other backgrounds that require similar knowledge and skills.
  • Deep fixed income knowledge and expertise.
  • Strong understanding of both the retail and institutional markets, including the sales process for each.
  • Adept at building highly effective working relationships with a variety of personalities; proactive in communicating with investment research, portfolio management, and sales; effective at consultative selling.
  • Dynamic presenter, able to establish immediate credibility and keep the attention of investment audiences.
  • Exceptional at identifying key messaging points from a sea of investment information and conveying them to clients and prospects.
  • Concise, persuasive, grammatically correct writer with a strong attention to detail.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Flexible, team contributor, willing to help others as needed.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a significant workload.
  • Skilled at PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Fluency with Factset, eVestment, and Morningstar a plus.
  • CFA preferred.
