Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a travel therapist in a critical care setting. As a travel respiratory therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans, taking into account patient-specific needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Perform bronchoscopies and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize respiratory care practices.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a critical care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
