Job Summary:

As a Speech Therapist in the Pediatrics department at University Hospitals Health System, you will play a vital role in the habilitation and rehabilitation of children with speech, language, cognitive linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to direct patient participation in selected activities to establish, enhance, and restore speech, language, cognitive linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing abilities or compensate for their loss.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient evaluations to identify areas of need and develop treatment plans to address these needs.
  • Direct patient participation in selected activities to establish, enhance, and restore speech, language, cognitive linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing abilities or compensate for their loss.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
