Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Townsen Memorial Surgery Center in Spring, TX. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that high-quality diagnostic images are produced. You will work closely with radiologists and physicians to operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment under their direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Radiographic Equipment: Set up and operate radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients.
  • Select Proper Ionizing Factors: Select the proper ionizing factors for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Position Patients: Position patients and set up and adjust equipment to obtain the best quality x-ray of the specific body area requested by the physician.
  • Infection Control: Implement infection control procedures for the work area.
  • Sterile Field Maintenance: Maintain a sterile field and implement best practices while in the operating room.
  • Image Quality Control: Check X-ray for clarity of image, and retake X-rays when needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain quantity and quality control checks to assure X-ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and facility policy.
  • Radiographic Procedures: Perform radiographic procedures for patients in surgery.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs needed to equipment.
  • Equipment Preparation: Assure that all materials and other required equipment are present and in working order.
Requirements
  • CMS Vaccine Mandate: Our hospital is subject to the CMS vaccine mandate. You must be fully vaccinated before you may begin employment with us.
  • Education and Licensure: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology and hold ARRT/TMB licenses.
  • Experience: Ortho/Spine Experience is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and position patients for the type of X-ray procedure required.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ability to clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to equipment.
