Job Summary

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will partner with operating areas to develop, track, and manage operational and financial plans. This role will perform analyses to help identify improved ways to manage costs and support forward-looking decision making by operating areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and support decision making
  • Develop and manage operational and financial plans
  • Partner with operating areas to track and manage plan progress
  • Support financial forecasting processes and enter forecast information into relevant systems
  • Prepare monthly management reports and support variance analysis
  • Support weekly spend driver tracking and communicate data to stakeholders
  • Create and execute value-added analyses to support customers in decision making
  • Perform ongoing analysis of accrual submissions and associated payments
  • Assist in rate case filing and regulatory reporting
  • Provide training to customers and internal staff on key processes, systems, and financial acumen

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • 2 years relevant work experience
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated critical thinking capabilities and proactive qualities
  • Work experience with management reporting or budgeting tool such as Oracle or SAP
