Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist/Hand Therapist to join our team at Orthopedic Centers of Colorado. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hand therapy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial exams to evaluate patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide manual therapy, direct therapeutic exercises, and activities to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Collaborate with upper extremity surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and implement adaptive equipment and support programs to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Provide patient education and neuromuscular education to promote self-care and independence.
  • Perform wound care services and orthotic fabrication as needed.
  • Discharge patients when goals are met and provide follow-up care or referrals as necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the NBCOT for Occupational Therapy.
  • Current state licensure from Colorado DORA.
  • Current BLS certification within 60 days from hire.
  • Ability to use computer to enter patient documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CHT certification strongly preferred or working towards CHT.
  • Three or more years of hand therapy experience.
  • Experience with EMR a plus.
Working Conditions
  • Typical clinical office and exam/procedure room environment.
  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to clinical settings.
  • Frequent standing, typing, and reading paper and electronic documents.
  • Able to frequently stoop, lift, carry, and push/pull 15 pounds and occasionally up to 30 pounds.
