Job Title: Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team at ALDI. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective operations, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and modify daily work schedules to meet warehouse needs
  • Coordinate job activities and tasks of direct reports, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Oversee receiving and shipping operations, ensuring compliance with established guidelines
  • Monitor processes for inbound and outbound deliveries, identifying areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve operating results
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
  • Model company strategy and core values, promoting a sense of teamwork and membership among employees
  • Interact effectively with peers, collaborating to achieve shared warehouse management objectives
  • Communicate with District Managers and store management as needed
  • Provide input and recommendations to the Warehouse Operations Manager on operational improvements
  • Monitor service providers, ensuring acceptable performance
  • Ensure communication with the in-house carrier on daily schedule changes and needs
  • Monitor the competitive environment, informing management of necessary adjustments
  • Recommend personnel for advancement and termination as appropriate
  • Address warehouse issues, escalating concerns to peers or management as needed
  • Oversee warehouse personnel, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of day-to-day operations
  • Lead, plan, and facilitate regularly scheduled Warehouse Associate meetings
  • Train and develop direct reports to achieve their maximum professional potential
  • Observe and evaluate employee work performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
  • Supervise the timely, accurate, and efficient storage of product, supplies, and equipment
  • Supervise warehouse teams to ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, maintenance, and operational safety guidelines and procedures
  • Oversee warehouse personnel to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Monitor and manage controllable expenses, providing inventory and efficiency results as needed
  • Ensure a safe environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, maintaining equipment in proper working order
  • Manage direct reports to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, hot and cold (including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments)
  • Continuous standing, frequent sitting, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking throughout the warehouse
  • Frequent lifting and placing product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights
