Job Requirements
  • Experience: Must have experience in Oncology
  • Certifications: ONS Chemotherapy Provider card required
  • Skills: Inpatient oncology, active immunotherapy, administration of chemotherapy, body fluid handling, post chemotherapy management, cytotoxic spills, monitoring chemotherapy, recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values, accessing ports, administration of coagulation factors, blood/blood product administration, care and management of ports, central line blood draw, central line/implanted line care, PICC line care, starting IVs, medications: antiemetic, corticosteroids, neupogen, hormonal therapy, acute tumor lysis syndrome (ATLS), anaphylaxis, extravasation injury, hemorrhage, sepsis, spinal cord compression, pain management, IV push narcotic agents, medication tolerance/dependence assessment, PCA pump management, transdermal patches
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in an inpatient oncology setting
  • Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed
  • Monitor patients for side effects and complications
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in oncology nursing
