About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler/Inventory Coordinator to join our team at Aerotek. As a Material Handler/Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, recording shipment data, and receiving and unpacking materials/supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and Expedite Material Flow: Ensure that materials are received, stored, and distributed efficiently and effectively.
  • Record Shipment Data: Accurately record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
  • Receive and Unpack Materials: Receive and unpack materials/supplies, reporting any damages or discrepancies to accounting.
  • Complete Shipping and Receiving Reports: Prepare and complete shipping and receiving reports as required.
  • Arrange Material Transfers: Arrange the transfer of materials to meet production schedules, examining materials to verify type specified for current projects.
  • Input Materials into SAP System: Input materials into the SAP system, with willingness to train if necessary.
  • Organize Inventory: Organize inventory to standard, ensuring that materials are stored and retrieved efficiently.
  • Determine Shipment Method: Determine the method of shipment and prepare bills, invoices, and other shipping documents.
  • Receive Merchandise: Receive merchandise, checking and signing delivery slips, and assisting with unloading as necessary.
  • Inspect and Verify Incoming Goods: Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, recording shortages and rejecting damaged goods.
  • Operate Forklift or Other Equipment: May operate forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
  • Maintain and Update Records: Maintain and update records, including counting materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock.
