Claims Specialist

We are a dynamic team at Ashe Memorial Hospital, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As a Denials Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced team to resolve complex denials and improve our revenue cycle.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and resolving denials, including researching underlying root cause, collecting required information or documents, and resubmitting claims
• Aggregating data and sending complete appeal packets for every level of appeal either by mail, fax, or secured email
• Reviewing credit balances and requests from payers and issuing refunds if needed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associates degree preferred
• Three or more years of experience in billing, A/R follow-up, denials management, and appeal writing
• One year of experience in computerized third-party billing of facility and/or professional services required

The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000, based on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
