This role also encompasses patient and family education.

This position is expected to competently and effectively manage all patients within their clinical environment, executing all occupational therapy responsibilities with minimal supervision.

The therapist fosters communication among interdisciplinary team members, confidently treats familiar patients, and advocates for both their patients and the team.

This therapist may seek mentorship in complex scenarios and could face challenges with cross-coverage in various settings.

Talent Pool:
Allied Health Professionals

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for all diagnoses, including more intricate cases.
Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical capabilities, medical histories, and functional limitations to create tailored treatment plans.
Implement therapeutic exercises and other occupational therapy methods to enhance patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
Instruct patients and their families on treatment protocols, home exercises, and self-management strategies to optimize recovery outcomes.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute discharge plans and recommendations for ongoing care, while occasionally seeking guidance from other team members.

Track and document patients' progress, treatment results, and responses to interventions to ensure treatment plans are modified as necessary.

Engage in collaborative efforts across various departments to guarantee coordinated patient care and comprehensive treatment outcomes.
Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy

EXPERIENCE: Required: 3 years of relevant experience

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: Required: Licensed by the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Board; BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
