Position Overview:

Location: Arizona

Employment Type: Full Time/ Permanent + On Call

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 per annum

  • Standard Working Hours: Mon – Fri (08:00 – 17:00) – 40 hours per week
  • On Call Compensation: $10/day Monday to Friday and $25/day for weekends and official public holidays.
  • Overtime Pay: 1.5 x Hourly Rate for hours exceeding 40 in a workweek
  • Car Allowance: $500 per month plus fuel reimbursement at $0.59 per mile

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24/7 technical support as part of an escalation team.
  • Perform installation, cabling, and wiring services as per client requirements.
  • Ensure proper grounding of equipment in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Run and label various types of cables including power, fiber, and console cables.
  • Conduct inspections and maintenance on fiber optics.
  • Support network and server hardware with Smart Hands services.
  • Manage the racking and de-racking of devices as needed.
  • Perform quality inspections on work completed at network sites.
  • Supervise subcontractors during operations at Points of Presence (POPs).
  • Execute additional services such as cage builds, circuit migrations, and audits.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
  • Adhere to company and local standards, ensuring compliance with engineering KPIs.
  • Maintain health and safety standards throughout all operations.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and customer orientation.
  • Follow written and remote instructions accurately.
  • Utilize knowledge of router/switch commands effectively.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Connect equipment using console ports and perform loopback connections.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid US Driving License.
  • Cisco Certification.
  • Manual Handling Certification.
  • Proven experience with fiber optic cabling in data centers and customer premises.
  • Ability to troubleshoot using various testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with Cisco/Juniper CPE devices and remote troubleshooting.
  • Experience in installing, labeling, testing, and cleaning fiber optic cables.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Juniper JNCP Certification.
  • Experience with DWDM/Transmission technologies (Ciena/Infinera/Huawei).
  • RF Awareness.
  • First Aid Certification.
