Key Responsibilities- Design and implement secure and reliable IT infrastructure and network systems
- Conduct systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies
- Install new software, troubleshoot, and grant permissions to applications
- Perform server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual hardware and network-related interfaces on servers
- Perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers' performance using monitoring tools
- Help define requirements, architectures, and engineer for our sub-surface and surface IT systems
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area, or field, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of RedHat Linux, Windows Server, VMware vSphere, application environments, and related technologies
- Ability to architect, deploy, and continuously maintain secure, reliable, and flexible best-practice infrastructures and systems
- Experience with implementing Linux/Windows security controls to maintain system compliance
- Subject Matter Expert in researching and troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Familiarity with compliance controls: STIGs, RMF, DFARS, NIST SP 800-53, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
- Ability to engineer with system security as number one priority
- Ability to quickly grasp and adopt new technologies while continuously developing yourself
- Handle all levels of support with ability to collaborate and communicate with those of varying levels of technical skill
- Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and strong motivational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills from a variety of viewpoints
