Key Responsibilities
As an Asset Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for protecting the assets of the company and ensuring a safe environment for our DC employees and visitors. You will have a thorough knowledge of Gap Inc. policy and procedures and work closely with AP Shift Coordinators and above to perform duties that directly support the core supply chain AP responsibilities of physical security, safety, inventory management, auditing, and investigations.
What You'll Do
- Ensure a safe and crime-free environment for DC employees and visitors by maintaining and managing controls, including access control points, physical security, fire safety, equipment, and related systems and administration.
- Support safety and business continuity by assisting with campus emergencies, including fires, safety incidents, medical emergencies, and severe weather-related events. You will be responsible for contacting emergency services and site coordination.
- Contribute to shortage reduction programs by performing inventory auditing and systems-related functions.
- Support AP investigations and research by providing accurate reporting and case management, applying investigative tools, and ensuring administrative compliance while maintaining confidentiality in all related matters.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of DC operations and develop relationships to increase AP awareness, maintain operational excellence, and minimize shortage within your assigned area of responsibility. You will also serve as a primary point of contact with the public, including visitors, emergency services, law enforcement, and other government officials.
