Job Summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Device Specialist to join our team. As a Magnet designated organization, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and are looking for a nurse with experience in interrogating implantable cardiac devices.

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with the team to manage remote transmissions and collaborating with EP Providers, APPs, and EP Fellows to provide exceptional patient care for complex EP device patient populations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Manage remote transmissions and device interrogations
  • Collaborate with EP Providers, APPs, and EP Fellows
  • Provide discharge teaching and instruction to patients with implanted cardiac devices
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
  • RN License issued by the State of California
  • BLS/CPR and ACLS certification
  • At least 5 years recent outpatient cardiology/EP RN experience
  • Experience with cardiac rhythm management devices
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN
  • CCRN certifications
  • Charge nurse experience
Working Conditions

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII/CNIV level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.

Annual Full Pay Range: $123,902 - $173,659 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $59.34 - $83.17
