Job Title: Senior Level Diesel Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Level Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder System in Charlotte, NC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical and electronic problems on heavy duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
  • Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task
  • Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
  • Other support duties as required to support operations
Requirements:
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire

  • Average Weekly Pay: $1240
  • Hourly Pay: $31.00 per hour
  • Sign On Bonus: Schedule: Monday–Friday Weekends OFF
  • Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
