Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Montessori Lead Teacher to join our team at Bright Horizons Children's Centers. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Montessori program, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, and promoting their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Lead and manage the Montessori program, ensuring that it aligns with Bright Horizons' mission, values, and educational philosophy.
  • Child Development: Foster the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children, using the Montessori approach to education.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support a team of teachers, providing guidance and coaching to ensure that they are meeting the needs of children and families.
  • Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with families, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in the educational process.
  • Program Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring that they are aligned with the Montessori curriculum and meet the needs of children.
  • Classroom Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment, ensuring that it is conducive to learning and development.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders, ensuring that information is shared in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience: One year of documented professional elementary teaching experience, preferably in a Montessori environment.
  • Certifications: Montessori certification required.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work with children and families from diverse backgrounds, and experience with Montessori education.
