We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Counselor to join our team at Marine Corps Community Services. As a Clinical Counselor, you will provide professional counseling services to active duty military personnel and their eligible family members.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual, marital, family, and group counseling services to clients with substance misuse issues.
- Conduct screenings and assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized service plans.
- Collaborate with community referral resources to develop treatment programs and provide consultation services to clients.
- Make referrals to other social or medical resources as needed.
- Provide continuing supportive services to clients and families.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in clinical supervision and counseling.
- Master's degree from a nationally accredited program in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current, valid, unrestricted licensure as a clinical social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed professional counselor, or clinical psychologist.
- At least 2 years of post-master's supervised clinical experience.
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC) certification within 36 months of hiring.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make independent professional decisions with minimal supervision. The incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
