Job Overview

Thompson First Group is in search of a skilled Boiler Technician to support our operations. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in managing boiler systems within an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute startup, operational, and shutdown protocols for all boiler systems.
  • Manage the operation of facility steam boilers while conducting routine testing and inspections, including water sampling and boiler blowdowns.
  • Oversee the operation of air compressors and related equipment to ensure the supply of dry, oil-free air.
  • Conduct both breakdown and routine maintenance on utility system apparatus such as boilers, condensate pumps, and feed water pumps.
  • Regularly monitor and record utility meter readings.
  • Supervise the condensate return system to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Exhibit professionalism at all times.
  • Report any irregularities to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a boiler technician, including general utility maintenance.
  • Mechanical skills with experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing pumps and motors associated with boiler systems.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
