As a Child Care Instructor at BCCC, you will play a vital role in delivering instruction to students, focusing on ensuring they achieve the necessary skills mandated by course curricula and successfully meet course objectives. You will be responsible for preparing and distributing class syllabus, delivering instruction, assessing student outcomes, and communicating with students to support their learning and goal achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute class syllabus and review with students.
  • Deliver instruction as assigned.
  • Assess student outcomes through exams, quizzes, and other graded assignments.
  • Communicate with students to support learning and goal achievement.
  • Submit required attendance, grades, and other information on time.
  • Adhere to FERPA records protection laws.
  • Follow the College's practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to provide instruction in person, virtual, and online.
  • Proficiency in required instructional and communication software.
  • Ability to work and cooperate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce and environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a closely related field.
  • Academic and/or professional expertise in Child Care, Child Development, and/or teaching.
  • 90 hours in Child Development and Curriculum.
  • Successful participation in the state of Maryland's 6-tiered credentialing system at a level 4 or higher.
