Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Engineering Manager to join our team at Waaree Solar Americas Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our cutting-edge manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in developing and executing a comprehensive equipment strategy that results in quality products, maximizes Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), meets site ramp requirements, and improves equipment capacity.
  • Drive equipment improvements to meet OEE, cycle time, productivity, and quality targets.
  • Lead and manage the equipment engineering team, providing mentoring, training, and support to ensure a high level of skill and efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of safety, 5S, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Drive continual improvement through OEE dashboards, failure analysis, and peer engagement.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions through structured root cause problem solving, implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions to production schedules.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with all Operations team members through the Waaree LEAN Operations program, ensuring the engineering team sets the benchmark for Waaree sites.
  • Recruit, lead, train, and mentor a team of equipment engineers and technicians that will collaborate and drive operational excellence.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in equipment management in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a high-automated equipment setting.
  • Strong knowledge of solar module manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Experience in introducing new products, equipment, and processes into a fast-paced, highly automated environment.
  • Detailed-oriented, ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, flexibility to meet tight deadlines with a quality and safety mindset.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring equipment engineers and LEAN environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
