Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer - Echocardiography

PeaceHealth is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer - Echocardiography to join our team at Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, Oregon. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and special procedures ultrasonography in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform adult echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and contrast studies
  • Use independent judgment in applying knowledge of clinical cardiology, acoustic imaging technology, and problem-solving skills to optimize the echocardiographic evaluation
  • Prepare, supply, and equip ultrasound rooms to meet specific cardiologist and physician requirements for procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program required
  • CAAHEP accredited program preferred
  • A minimum six months full-time cardiac internship strongly preferred
  • 1 year experience as cardiac sonographer preferred
  • Must be ARDMS eligible upon date of hire
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-Adult) credential required
  • Registration required with the Oregon Board of Medical imaging (OBMI)
