Position Overview:
Mitchell Martin Inc. is in search of a Principal Consumer Credit Risk Specialist to enhance our financial services expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) evaluations in accordance with the annual strategy. This includes providing strategic insights and leadership in defining the review scope and work plan; collaborating with stakeholders to gather necessary data; establishing a thorough approach to evaluate credit performance and asset quality; identifying critical data attributes, independently coding, and interpreting analytical results through methods such as segmentation and advanced analytics; assessing credit risk strategies for alignment with the organization’s risk appetite and policies, and pinpointing deficiencies in credit strategies by rigorously questioning the assumptions that inform these strategies; and presenting CCAR Review outcomes, findings, and recommendations to various leadership levels.
- Engage in thorough assessments of credit strategies and the governance framework for credit management, new initiatives, risk appetite/key risk indicator frameworks, and loan classification criteria. Regularly monitor and validate risk appetite and key risk indicators.
- Conduct independent reviews and evaluations of the credit quality across various loan portfolios (including Card, DPL, DSL, and DHL). This entails designing and refining monitoring metrics; producing comprehensive monitoring reports and summaries; and establishing early warning indicators to detect changes in portfolio trends.
- Execute ad hoc analyses related to credit risk and asset quality. Deliver insightful presentations of findings and recommendations to various leadership levels, utilizing visual representations of quantitative data.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative field, including relevant internship or research experience.
- Alternatively, substantial experience in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline with pertinent modeling/analytical experience, accompanied by a bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 6 years of experience in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with relevant modeling/analytical experience, including a bachelor's degree.
