Collins Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Port Arthur, TX. As a key member of our Construction Management team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direct oversight of construction projects, working closely with clients and government agencies to ensure project goals are met.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and design instructions.
- Provide technical expertise to clients, resolving issues and performing complex engineering computations.
- Develop and implement project work plans, setting protocols for the team to ensure project goals are met.
- Lead project meetings, coordinate submittals, cost control, scheduling, reporting, and document control activities.
- Direct and supervise the work of engineers, technicians, and administrative staff, ensuring accurate client billings and monitoring outstanding accounts receivable.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited four-year university.
- 5+ years of construction management or related experience, with extensive use of Microsoft Office and construction management databases/tracking software.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification and ability to obtain certifications for material sampling/testing and inspection of roadways, bridges, and coatings.
