Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Specialist to join our team. As an electrical design specialist, you will be responsible for designing new computer room air conditioning (CRAC) products. You will work closely with cross-functional development teams, manage multiple tasks and activities in a dynamic environment, and solve complex problems where no precedence exists.

Responsibilities:

  • Design new CRAC products
  • Collaborate across mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering, production, and offering teams for design reviews, meeting cost metrics, and brainstorming around customer pain points
  • Perform various engineering calculations using traditional methods to verify design requirements
  • Develop solutions to complex problems where little or no precedence exists, requiring ingenuity and creativity
  • Participate in identifying cost reduction opportunities and designing cost reduction changes
  • Implement product changes to solve field issues, support service departments
  • Verify components
  • Create and revise unit wiring schematics and network connection drawings
  • Create and review electric panel layouts following relevant codes and standards
  • Create and revise wire harnesses
  • Work with software teams to develop and verify CRAC system controls
  • Support lab facilities with prototypes and testing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related degree from an accredited college or university
  • 3+ years of experience in new product development as an individual contributor
  • Able to work independently and as part of a dynamic team, offering and receiving constructive criticism
  • Demonstrated history of delivering quality products to market with understanding and respect for phases of the product development process
  • Excellent project management skills and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferred CREO 4.0 and greater

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
