We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Newborn Nursery team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to create personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to newborn patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Assess patient needs, identify potential risks, and take proactive steps to prevent complications.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Licensed, as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 12 months of start date.
- Previous Mother Baby/Newborn Nursery or related RN experience preferred.
