The Accounting Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, and managing a team of accounting professionals. This role is essential in driving financial integrity, improving financial processes, and supporting strategic decision-making within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP).
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Support the Sr. Director of Finance with ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
