Study Director Job Description

Frontage Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Study Director to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a Study Director, you will be responsible for leading regulatory and exploratory toxicology studies, including study design and protocol development, data evaluation, and reporting in compliance with GLPs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop study protocols and amendments
  • Coordinate study planning with various departments and Sponsor Representatives
  • Generate high-quality reports and data presentations
  • Provide technical guidance to research staff and review reports for peers
  • Attend scientific meetings and conferences to enhance job and professional skills
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific related discipline; Master's or Ph.D. in Toxicology, Developmental Biology, Pharmacology, Physiology, or related field preferred
  • At least 2-5 years' post-degree experience as a Study Director in a CRO environment
  • Expertise in toxicology, in vivo laboratory experience, and hands-on experience required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, leadership skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Thorough understanding of GLP regulatory requirements and various toxicology testing guidelines
