Position Overview

CSB is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the planning, management, and execution of Non-Congregate Sheltering Strategies. This includes developing seasonal response frameworks and crisis management protocols, such as utilizing dormitories and hotels, while implementing strategies to enhance the availability of affordable housing units for those experiencing homelessness in our community. This role involves building and maintaining partnerships, fostering business collaborations, and identifying areas for operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Non-Congregate Shelter Strategies: Design and execute strategies for non-congregate sheltering, including seasonal responses and crisis management plans.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and nurture relationships with partner organizations involved in seasonal shelter operations, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop business relationships to support non-congregate shelter operations, emergency response protocols, and the preservation of affordable housing. This includes negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations of seasonal shelters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and the CSB Standard of Care. Assist the Chief Operating Officer in overseeing system-wide housing strategies.
  • Emergency Response: Create and implement emergency response protocols, ensuring readiness to effectively address crises or disasters. Oversee the execution of emergency response initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Supervise budgeting and financial management for Non-Congregate Sheltering Strategies, ensuring responsible resource stewardship.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze operational data and generate reports to monitor performance metrics and guide decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency improvements within seasonal and non-congregate shelter operations.
