We are currently seeking a Junior Geospatial Analyst to enhance our capabilities in Geospatial Data Production. This role focuses on expanding our in-house and contract production capacity, enabling quicker responses to client requests while improving the quality and precision of our geospatial data portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate various sources of nautical charts, electronic navigational charts (ENC), hydrographic survey data, and other datasets to create comprehensive project packages for production.
  • Update and compile maritime features and attributes using advanced GIS tools and environments.
  • Extract and analyze features from multiple data sources, including rasterized charts and survey data.
  • Develop Python scripts within ArcGIS to streamline production processes.
  • Facilitate data conversion and migration tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in geography, cartography, or Geographic Information Systems (GIS), with proficiency in ArcGIS applications.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in geography, GIS, or a related field can substitute for the required experience.
  • Experience in creating geospatial datasets, including shapefiles and geodatabases.
  • Familiarity with digital cartography, image processing, and geospatial production techniques.
  • Ability to utilize geographic names information effectively.

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and senior staff.
