Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessment, care-planning, and collaboration with other healthcare providers.
  • Delegate aspects of patient care to support staff, providing necessary communication and guidance.
  • Function as a team member in patient care and mentoring with other staff.
  • Communicate with co-workers and other professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical excellence and demonstrate proficiency in various Departmental subspecialties.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred, Associate of Science degree minimum.
  • Recent graduate of a Respiratory Therapy school or two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience in a Tertiary Hospital.
Certifications/Licenses Required
  • Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
